At any given time there are thousands of orphaned, abandoned or impoverished children in Honduras who need your help and love. If you're someone who cares deeply about the welfare of innocent children around the world, here's your chance to do something to help them.

For about $1 a day, Friends of Honduran Children sponsors make an immediate difference in the lives of these children. For as little as $1 a day, you can help to feed, cloth and house a child. For that child it means an education, vocational training and life skills. It often means the chance to be re-socialized - to recover from the traumatic experiences that have made up the bulk of their lives until now. Most importantly, it means someone to look after them - to love them and provide them a chance to realize a better future.

When you sign up to sponsor a Honduran child, your commitment works in partnership with three other Canadian sponsors, creating a safety net of supporters. As every new safety net is created, our Honduran partner Sociedad Amigos de los Niņos is able to take on another child, immediately moving them to a safe home and starting the process of giving that will bring each innocent child a better tomorrow.

$30 a month or $360 a year. That's all it takes to rescue a child. If you'd like to help, proceed to Become a Sponsor and follow the few simple steps. After you've signed up, you'll receive a photograph and details about your sponsored child. You will also receive a yearly update to let you know how well your child is doing. Child sponsorship is fully tax deductible and can be paid monthly or annually.
