At any given time there are thousands of impoverished, abandoned or orphaned children who need our help and love. For about $1 a day, Friends' Child Sponsors make an immediate difference in the lives of these children. For $30 a month or $360 a year, individual or family sponsors work in partnership with three other Canadians to create a safety net of supporters. As every new safety net is created, Sociedad is able to take on another child, immediately giving them a safe home and a brighter tomorrow. Sociedad's communities of homes are special places where our sponsored children are taken to be raised in a caring and loving atmosphere. Here they grow strong and confident, getting the love, care and skills they need to become productive citizens of Honduras. Together each sponsor safety net feeds, clothes and houses a sponsored child. Child sponsorship ensures each child receives an education, medical care, vocational training and life skills. Most importantly, it provides someone to look after them - to love them and provide them a chance to realize a better future.
